APRIL KURAMOTO ERYT200, RYT500

April went into the beautiful Berkshire Mountains of Western Massachusetts to Frog Lotus Yoga Studio, for her 200 hour certification to teach Hatha and Vinyasa Flow.  Mentored by two skilled and powerful women, April learned the light of another can illumine truth within, and support one's unique healing journey.  This has become her deepest passion in teaching yoga, and practising yoga with April expresses her deep love of teaching and being of service.

April has also completed additional certifications with: Yoga Kids Foundation, Prenatal Yoga with Janice Clarfield, Yin Yoga with Mark Laham, Yoga Trance Dance with Shiva Rea, and an additional 300 hour certification with Shiva Rea in Prana Flow, and Meditation, Energy Healing and Reading with Lightwork Spiritual Development.

Combining all that she had learned, to facilitate Chakra Balancing Massage and Energy Healings, April founded BLYS Yoga in 2010.

 safah roberts eryt500

Safah received her RYT 200 in Classical Hatha studies with Sri Rajarshi Muni's organization in Gujurat, India. She later returned to complete her RYT 500 with Tribe Yoga, specializing in chakras, pranayam, mantra and meditation. Safah also trained in the Core Strength Vinyasa method with Sadie Nardini, and completed training in Thai massage.  She is currently working in Peru working at the Temple of the Way of Light, as a yoga teacher and lecturer in the deep immersion program.  She is experienced in skillfully guiding students through a balanced YTT experience, having co-taught over twenty monthly intensives worldwide for various organizations.

Her teaching philosophy is to recognize the distinct needs of each individual and motivate and inspire in accordance with their specific goals and challenges.  From meditation to uddiyana bhanda to silence, there is no one size fits all for yoga.  Her asana style is alignment based, incorporating somatic relaxation to opening awareness to the subtle body, enhanced by pranayam and breath retention.

RORY TROLLEN ERYT500

Rory began practicing Yoga primarily for its healing benefits and to aid recovery from sporting injuries and noticed significant improvement in reduced recovery time, increased core strength and mental focus. In early 2008 he was introduced to Agama yoga and the profound teachings that they offer. The Agama teachings hail primarily from traditional Indian and Tibetan Yoga and span many aspects of the traditional Yoga system from asana to understanding, harnessing and realizing the latent potential of the mind through advanced forms of pranayama, Kundalini Yoga and meditation. Attracted and encouraged by the possibility of spiritual evolution and growth he completed a 500 hour teacher training course at Agama’s headquarters in Thailand. On completion of the course he was invited by the administrators of the programme to teach at one of the agama branches in India for a season. This proved to be an incredible opportunity that not only gave him a strong grounding as a Yoga teacher but also helped him evolve his own practice through immersion in the Indian Yogic culture. Since then he has taught Yoga full time in Scotland, India and Thailand, teaching in many environments and students across the board, from yoga teacher trainees to prisoners!

His knowledge of Hatha, Ashtanga, Tantra, Kundalini Yoga and Advaita Vedanta has been deepened by the guidance of many teachers namely Swami Vivekananda Saraswati (Agama Yoga), Reinhard Gammenthaller (Kundalini Yoga Parampara), Sahajananda (Hridaya Yoga) and Sri Sheshadri (Patanjala Ashtanga Vinyasa). His experience of these many disciplines from asana to meditation and philosophy has evolved through self discipline, practice and aspiration.

With a warm and relaxed character Rory is a highly respected & experienced teacher in the growing global yoga community. As a practitioner he is full of passion in regards to his own personal development and that of his students. His vibrant energy and positive input is a welcome addition as an Ashtanga yoga teacher training instructor .
